My First Show

I am so elated, psyched, excited -
I entered two paintings in the
Art League of Baytown Spring Show.
One of them earned a first place
 in the mixed media category.

Pyrene - Gouache, colored pencil and collage.
The other painting received an honorable mention.

"Lost" - Acrylic and collage
And this is my latest painting made with the inspiration and guidance of the online art classes by Olga Furman.

"The Heron" - Acrylic and pastel.

Thanks to you all for visiting

  8. Well hey, that's great news! But you deserve it, that painting is gorgeous. Still trying to find out where you used collage ... The other 2 paintings are beautiful as well. Great work, and so nice to get recognition!

    1. Do you mean Pyrene? She began as a life drawing on paper that lay around in my art folders for a long time. I collaged that drawing to a painting of rocks and it went on from there. Thank you.

  9. Congratulations! You earned it, they are both wonderful art :)

    And the others too. :)

  10. Congratulations!!! Well deserved! Your pieces are stunning.
